CMLL Owner Paco Alonso Passes Away

CMLL announced that owner Francisco "Paco" Alonso Lutteroth has passed away on Saturday, July 6 at the age of 67. Paco was the grandson of the company’s founder, Salvador Lutteroth.

Paco gained control of the company in 1987 and helped establish CMLL as the top promotion in Mexico throughout the 1990s. CMLL called him "the main architect of the greatness of Lucha Libre in recent decades."
