When Bray Wyatt returned to WWE at WWE Extreme Rules 2022, he came back with a new persona that went away from his previous Firefly Fun House host and Fiend character.
As part of his new presentation, Wyatt debuted "Shatter," a theme song done by Code Orange. Sadly, the wrestling world lost Wyatt on August 24.
Speaking to Rock Feed, Code Orange singer Jami Morgan remembered Bray Wyatt.
"Working with him was so awesome, I can't even express it. Even with him, I would try to play it a certain way. I always feel like people like they don't want you to express that you're a ginormous fan of all this shit. I get it, it's a lot to take in. I almost feel a little sad that I was never able to express to him how much he helped make our dream come true," said Morgan.
Jami said that the band drove to WrestleMania 30 and were excited to take a picture in front of a wall with Wyatt's likeness.
Speaking about his direct experience with Wyatt, Morgan said, "It was an amazing experience. He's really fucking cool. He's cooler than anybody can even know. He's so into the music shit. He would text me 20 things in a row, 20 YouTube links, one is maybe Cry Little Sister, Something in the Way, maybe a Ministry song I've never heard, maybe some Norwegian death metal folk shit. Then it's, 'here is this cool sound from an hour into the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, maybe you can sample that.' He had all these crazy fucking ideas. At times, you'd be like, 'this guy is insane,' but it was beautiful. He was so fucking into it. When I tell you, I'm not going to go into the details on it because it's their business, but when I tell you that he fought to get us that song and to make that song his song, people won't even believe it. It's like a movie, what happened. It was up to the final, literal minute that happened. I watched the show and didn't know if it was going to happen. I was hopeful because we had good (talks). Me and him created the idea for the song before we even knew where he was going because, at the time, he was not with them. He's cool and really wanted to make this shit awesome. He wanted every part of it to be entertaining, and he thought about it all the time and wrote all the time. He's insane, but he was awesome."
Jami said that Wyatt was a creative guy and really into metal music. He said that Bray was larger than life when they hung out.
