Wrestling is all about putting smiles on faces, especially during the coronavirus pandemic. Before WrestleMania 36, WWE's public line was "Tune in, we'll put a smile on your face." It's a phrase that's been part of the company's vocabulary for years, but has been pushed extra hard over the last couple of months.
WWE isn't the only company putting smiles on faces during these times as AEW has also been running its weekly show Dynamite. And according to AEW Co-EVP Cody, AEW has been the best empty arena product over the last month and a half.
"During this period of time when a lot of the product is taped, I'm seeing it multiple times and one of the best things when you go through these screeners or look at items in post-production, they can bring a smile to your face. An organic, real smile. That's one of those things with AEW, it's always brought a smile. Content is king right now, especially right now with coronavirus and the quarantine. I think our content is the best," Cody told Busted Open Radio.
There you go. AEW hasn't just been delivering smiles. They've been delivering REAL and ORGANIC smiles.
