Cody Describes The Pressure Of His Upcoming Match With Kenny Omega, And Talks 'All In' Becoming Bigger Than He Expected

"The American Nightmare" has a super-show to piece together after his match against Kenny Omega.

As Ring Of Honor Supercard Of Honor XII nears closer, Cody is slowly starting to feel the nerves creeping up on him to turn out a great match with his 'Bullet Club' "brethren" Kenny Omega. While speaking with Dave LaGreca and Bully Ray on Busted Open Radio recently, the former ROH World Champion dove into the pressures of making this upcoming match one of the best that he and Kenny Omega have had in their individual careers.

Sami Zayn Says He And CM Punk Have A 'Clean Slate'

"It has to be better. Yeah it has to be better. What's the point in all this? I said earlier, you know we’re very different type of pro wrestlers. Kenny Omega to some people is widely considered the best technician, the best wrestler in the world and I always say: ‘Yeah, that’s dang easy to do when you barley even wrestle’. When you wrestle once a month, when you don’t have a set of towns instead of places to make. A band that’s hot is going on poor," Cody shared, "We’re very different type of wrestlers. What brings the game and what Kenny brings and I think there’s a ton of pressure. I feel it right now, I feel it… I’ve never watched more wrestling in anticipation of a match and see if there is something, ‘Oh I could add this into my name, this could possibly fit’. I’ve ever… I don’t know if its nerves, but it definitely feels like pressure but it’s a good pressure. This is where I want to be. This is where two years ago, I said I deserved to be, so at this point I have to put up or shut up you know what I’m saying."

After Supercard Of Honor and the entire WrestleMania weekend fever fades out, all eyes will be locked on The Young Bucks and Cody's 'All In' show on September 1st. Cody had expectations for the show to be a huge wrestling event, but it has become much more than just a wrestling show as the group looks to change the landscape of the business with their self-financed event.

"I mean they… its so crazy, the wrestling world how they’ve gravitated towards it. It went from being this singular event that I hoped could be an absolutely outstanding wrestling show that would showcase today's active, you know, wrestling. Its become something completely else and you… I’ve lost sleep over it and it’s a good losing sleep," Cody shared, "Its really fun to organize. You’d be blown away by the amount of side elements that have now been attached to ‘All In’, so guaranteed for folks who are planning to attend ‘All In’, the whole weekend is now being designed as an event for fans. You know we’re putting the podcast conventions, our cast together that weekend. Today…. this morning before we spoke, I spoke to the Sears Center and they wanted to do a full tail gate where they provide food and everything in their parking lot with local entertainment and a dress for me. Its just turned into something that I…. it just blows me away."
