Cody Rhodes Explains AEW's Decision To Make Fyter Fest Free For Bleacher Report Live Subscribers

Cody gives his portion of the reason why Fyter Fest has been made free to watch.

Former IWGP Heavyweight Champion and All Elite Wrestling co-Executive Vice President Kenny Omega announced at the E3 Gaming Convention in California that AEW's Fyter Fest show on June 29th in Daytona Beach is going to be free to watch. AEW recently confirmed that the event will be free for Bleacher Report Live subscribers and after the news made the rounds, Cody Rhodes chatted with Comicbook.com and explained why the company decided to deliver Fyter Fest for free.

"I'm thrilled that we get to do it for free," Rhodes said. "That was such a huge discussion and I'm so excited. I mean, Moxley's first match in AEW for free? It's great. The people at B/R Live, I couldn't ask for better partners. You do need a subscription, but it is a free subscription," Rhodes explained. "It's not a hook in and you're charged type of deal. You'll need to probably, if you're looking to see Fyter, and it's streaming for free here in the United States. You should go on the site before the actual event, get yourself signed up so you've got all your ducks in a row and you're ready to go."

Chris Jericho, who'll be challenging for the AEW World Championship at All Out in August was not too pleased with the news of Fyter Fest being free and decided to "pull out" of Fyter Fest.
