Cody Rhodes: Brock Lesnar’s Speed Was Genuinely Terrifying From A Performative Standpoint In The UFC

Cody Rhodes comments on the strongest wrestlers he’s been in there with.

WWE has hired talent from all over the world. There are so many wrestlers who have different qualities and are known for different things. Rhodes has worked with many of these talents in his career.

While speaking on the Double Coverage Podcast, Rhodes was asked about the strongest wrestlers he’s ever been with.

“It’s an easy one because it’s going to be a combination. Mark Henry had kind of the reserve strength. The World’s Strongest Man was the world’s strongest man. He goes to the Arnold, wins the World’s Strongest Man (Henry won the Arnold Strongman Classic in 2002, not the World’s Strongest Man). Drug free. When he was Mark Henry later, Hall of Pain, all that, he wasn’t doing that type of lifting anymore, but it was reserved. I always said it’s reserved because he’d do stuff every now and then where he’d kind of move with those bear paws in a way that he’d remind you of his strength. So Mark is going to be on there. We mentioned Big Show earlier. Big Show got upset with me one night and hit me on the chin and it may be the only time I ever went out and I came back quick. He also shoved me. I mean, Big Show had reserve strength. Those two for sure. Big E was breaking records at every gym across the country when he’d go into it. Big E was an anomaly, unbelievable. Cesaro, unbelievable strength. Obviously Cena’s up there in the strength category. I think Bron Breakker is is like that now and then you mentioned Brock. But I think the thing people forget about Brock, and if you watched him at UFC, you knew this about Brock. It wasn’t the fact that this giant, hulking, fearsome looking individual was coming after you. It was how fast he was. His speed was genuinely terrifying from a performative standpoint. He just was one of one, unicorn. That’s all those tools, they were meant to take him where he took him.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Rhodes talked about modern WWE stemming from WrestleMania 40. Fans can read his full comments here.
