Cody Rhodes On Potential CM Punk Match: It’s Difficult, I Don’t Know If He’d Want That And I Don’t Know If I’d Want That

Cody Rhodes comments on a possible bout with CM Punk.

The match has been heavily teased since Punk returned to WWE in late 2023. The latest tease came on the Raw after WrestleMania, where Rhodes told the ‘Best In The World’ to name a time and a place for a potential match.

Speaking with ESPN’s TikTok, Rhodes named Punk as a dream opponent but admitted that it would be very hard to put together.

“Fans think it might happen but I think is very hard to put together — I’ll use myself as an example, a dream match that I’d like to be a part of is probably myself versus CM Punk. The likelihood of it happening, who knows? Wrestling has gotten more — it’s difficult, you know? We’re collaborators these days, so it’s difficult. I don’t know if he’d want that and I don’t know if I’d want it. But, I know just it would be really great and be very good for wrestling.”
