On the road to WWE SummerSlam, Rhodes had a simple message for his fans.
“Don’t flinch. Thank you all for riding with me all this time. Love you for it. Excited for what we do next,” wrote Rhodes on social media.

Rhodes famously used the “Don’t flinch” phrase ahead of WrestleMania XL when he won the 2024 Royal Rumble, but stepped aside to allow The Rock to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL. The fans chanted for Rhodes, and WWE changed plans to turn The Rock into “The Final Boss,” setting up a tag team match between Rock and Roman Reigns against Rhodes and Seth Rollins on night one and Rhodes vs. Reigns on night two.
Rhodes would go on to win the Undisputed WWE Championship from Reigns in main event of WrestleMania XL.
While making the media rounds, Rhodes commented on his upcoming SummerSlam match against Cena, coming off the loss at WrestleMania 41. You can read his comments here.
