The card for AEW's 'The House Always Wins' has been announced.
In a special announcement video hosted by Tony Schiavone, the lineup for AEW's first-ever house show was revealed. All of the scheduled matches can be seen below, including a Duuuval Street Fight between Cody Rhodes and Aaron Solow.
On the March 31 episode of Dynamite, QT Marshall, Aaron Solow, Anthony Ogogo, and Nick Comoroto attacked Cody and Dustin Rhodes, breaking away from The Nightmare Family. Cody joined Schiavone to discuss the incident, saying that he is the most self-aware wrestler there is. People want to complain about him having tour buses and toys, but he just sees it as running up the score. Cody notes how he went from undesirable to undeniable and has no intention of giving that away.
When asked what he thinks QT Marshall sees when he looks at himself, The American Nightmare said the following:
"I would say, 'I hope you see a great trainer.' Somebody who runs a prolific wrestling school, and a wonderful individual when it comes to back of house. A wonderful employee for AEW. A really nice guy. What he actually sees is the problem. See, you see this divine gift to wrestling. He genuinely believes he is a good wrestler, but there is no credentials, there is no exposition, there is no evidence to back that up. What, you were an extra at Ring of Honor 30 times? You saw Brian Danielson in the airport once, you think, maybe? He's a nice guy, but so is my neighbor. Doesn't mean he belongs in the ring. Get used to living with a qualifier."
Cody then talked about how he lived with a qualifier for the majority of his career. He was Dusty's kid. He used that, however, to sharpen and clarifies his crosshairs. He is aware of the work he needs to put in to reach and remain at the top. He then shared a message for his opponent on April 9th:
"Aaron Solow, you know all too well what it's like to be a qualifier. For a decade, you were a baggage handler. For a decade, you were somebody else's bitch. On that night, you'll be mine."
