Cody Rhodes Hopes The Energy In Rare Topps Card Acquired By Karl-Anthony Towns Helps The Knicks
New York Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns acquired a 1/1 Cody Rhodes card with the inscription “He wanted my soul?!”
Speaking on Unsportsmanlike, Cody commented on Towns’ big purchase.
“I want him to keep it somewhere in his locker and hopefully that energy can take it all the way. I think the world is rooting for the Knicks in terms of taking it all. I hope the energy is there for him and he can keep it. That moment in time, the photo is right before I drop the F bomb for the first time ever on WWE programming and it’s towards The Rock. It’s a very significant moment. There is a lot of energy and power in that card. I hope he keeps it and it leads them to a championship,” he said.
The Knicks are set to play in the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999.
Towns has been on a WWE card binge, going after rare cards featuring Randy Orton and John Cena as well.
