Cody Rhodes Questions Why Celebrities Always Get Involved In His Stuff, ‘You Can Pick Other People To Mess With’

Cody Rhodes has a message for celebrities in wrestling.

Fans are expecting Tom Brady to pop up in WWE soon, potentially for a match with Logan Paul. The teases have been heavy in recent weeks, with Brady even slapping Paul at Fanatics Fest.

On the latest episode of The Tonight Show, Cody Rhodes recalled meeting TB12 for the first time.

“I was very worried because the first time I met Tom Brady was backstage somewhere else and I thought — I thought he was not real. I thought he was a robot. I was excited, he’s my favorite. I got a Brady signed helmet, it’s all real. He’s very inspiring to me, so I was excited to meet him. Crazy story. I said, ‘Hey Tom, I’m Cody. I’ll be out there tonight on stage 2.’ He said the most generic, I think it was, ‘Well, stay cool out there. It’s a hot one.’ I don’t want to disagree, it’s the greatest of all time. Like, ‘Yeah, it is hot Tom.’ So, I was worried. But then he showed up and he did the podcast, he blew it away. Wonderful.”

Following that up, Rhodes sent a message to the celebrities that get involved with wrestling.

“Here’s my warning. A lot of the celebrities and people want to cross into wrestling and we do some sort of merging of worlds, I feel like they always get involved in my stuff. Travis Scott, Pat McAfee, they get right in on what I’m doing. If you come in, you can pick other people to mess with. You can. Also, you know, not everyone has to fully wrestle. You come to the show, prime example. I hook old Cookie Monster Punk, CM Punk. Chick Magnet, Chaos Magnet, Constantly Miserable, Cookie Monster. Right now, he is the Best In The World, he’s WWE Champion. But, I hook his arms like this, I turn to you, you just give him a nice open chop right on the chest. The place reacts, they clap, and that’s all. You get the Hall Of Fame run after that. Not everyone has to be a full-blown — they don’t have to do the full thing. Let me do that.”
