Cody Rhodes Says He Modeled His Backstage Attitude On Kane

If there's anybody in wrestling on whom Cody Rhodes wanted to model his attitude, it would be Kane.

Rhodes was recently interviewed by Double G Sports and "The American Nightmare" revealed that he wanted to be like Kane in terms of how to behave and act backstage while in WWE.

Tatum Paxley: I Came So Close To Winning NXT Women's Title, I'm Not Done

"I kind of model my attitude backstage and towards the business after Kane," Rhodes said. "He's running for mayor now. He is the best example of how to be an older gentleman, a veteran in our business. Everybody after two-four years goes through that phase where they think they are a veteran. After about six years in you start to think you're really a veteran, and then you realize that it never ends. You should always treat everyone with fairness, kindness and shake everyone's hand the same way you would shake Vince McMahon's hand. Everybody matters. We all do this together. From the fan out there in the street who may or not be a collector to Vince, never devalue anyone."

Rhodes has been traveling and wrestling all over the world since leaving WWE last year, wrestling in TNA Impact, Ring Of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling among other promotions. Rhodes is a former Intercontinental and Tag Team Champion during his time in WWE.
