Cody Rhodes Tells Sami Zayn’s Son That He’ll Have ‘Tons Of Heat’ In Locker Room For Being A Nepo Baby

A story from Rhodes about his quick talks with Sami Zayn’s son.

The subject of nepotism in pro wrestling became a talking point on the newest episode of Cody Rhodes’ What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast.

He went on to share the story of how he’ll chat with Sami Zayn’s son backstage and tell him that if he becomes a wrestler, he’ll have heat in the locker room for being a nepo baby. Rhodes jokingly tells Zayn’s son that he’ll get the private jet treatment and to just embrace it. Zayn responds by telling Rhodes not to tell his son that.

“I like to, now, kind of try to be the lead of the nepo babies. I literally will tell Sami’s son when he’s at TV, I’ll get down on a knee and be like, ‘Hey man, it’s gonna be different for you. You’re right in, private jet buddy,’ and Sami, I can tell he’s like, don’t tell him that. I’m like, ‘Oh, bro, right away, you’re gonna have tons of heat in the locker room. Who cares? Who cares?’ I like to look out for a nepo baby. They don’t always turn out great.”

Zayn was in action on the 7/21 Monday Night Raw. His program with Karrion Kross continued, and via an assist from Scarlett, Kross was able to defeat Zayn.
