Cody Rhodes Wanted Bruce Prichard As Brother Love To Present Him With Winged Eagle Title

At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event in December 2024, Cody Rhodes brought back the Winged Eagle Championship for his match against Kevin Owens.

Rhodes had spoken many times about wanting to bring back the title, and it was used throughout his feud with Owens, which was settled in a ladder match at WWE Royal Rumble 2025.

Speaking with Bruce Prichard on What Do You Want To Talk About?, Cody revealed that he had a different idea for the return of the Winged Eagle.

“I knew Brother Love wasn’t coming back when I asked you to be Brother Love to present me with the Winged Eagle Title. I wanted it. I think I said as if it was a joke, and you’re like, ‘Haha, no.’ I wanted Brother Love in the ring going into Saturday Night’s Main Event with the Winged Eagle Title. I ended up doing the Pulp Fiction with Triple H in the case, but I’m looking and there is a Winged Eagle off in the distance. I’m not going to ask you when Brother Love is coming back, because I’d be hot if Brother Love comes back,” said Cody.

Brother Love was the character Prichard portrayed in the ’80s and ’90s on WWE TV.
