Cody Rhodes Wants To ‘Close The Loop’ With Drew McIntyre, ‘We’ve Been Fighting Each Other For Quite Some Time’

Cody Rhodes wants to wrap things up with Drew McIntyre.
Rhodes has a chance to earn another big WrestleMania spot at the Elimination Chamber event, as he will compete in the Men’s Elimination Chamber match. As most fans know, the winner of that match will challenge Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship at ‘The Show Of Shows’.
Speaking with ESPN’s First Take for a new interview, Rhodes noted that he wants to “close the loop” with his long-time rival.
“I think you want to close the loop. I think this year, more for me, I’m seeing all the WrestleMania signs everywhere and not being able to point at it when the years before, I had won the Royal Rumble or even last year going into it, I was the incumbent champion. This year, it’s really up in the air for me and it’s tumultuous and you’re on that chase. Just to be able to point at the WrestleMania signs everywhere and know I’m going to go in and do another WrestleMania main event, it means a lot to me. Drew McIntyre, great, it doesn’t matter who it’s against but I’d love to close the loop on Drew because we’ve been fighting each other for quite some time.”
