Kicking off the 2025 WWE Night of Champions Premium Live Event in Saudi Arabia was the King of the Ring tournament finals between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton.

Early in the match, Orton gave a superplex to Rhodes off the top turnbuckle, and throughout the bout, Orton's back was giving him trouble.

The conclusion of the bout saw Orton bring a chair into the ring. The referee stopped him, so Orton went to the corner and took the turnbuckle pad off. He and Rhodes went back-and-forth trying to send one another into the exposed turnbuckle, but Rhodes ended up shoving Orton into it rib-first.

Rhodes followed up by hitting Orton with the 'Cross Rhodes' to secure the win and become King of the Ring. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis and Raw General Manager Adam Pearce joined the ring to congratulate Rhodes.

Rhodes was then interviewed by Byron Saxton, and he thanked Orton. Orton did not look pleased when Rhodes shouted him out. Rhodes is set to challenge either John Cena or CM Punk for the Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam.
