Colby Corino Explains Why His Dad Hates Brutus ‘The Barber’ Beefcake

Colby Corino explains his father’s hatred of Brutus ‘The Barber’ Beefcake.

Steve Corino teamed with his son, Colby Corino, at a Championship Wrestling International show in 2011. The father-son duo faced off against Brutus ‘The Barber’ Beefcake and Bushwhacker Luke.

Speaking with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp for a new interview, Colby Corino revealed that his father doesn’t like Beefcake.

“So May of 2011, that would make me about 14 at the time So my dad was on like this huge like legends tour in Canada and the first night had Hogan on it and stuff. It was like 15,000 people. Second night was definitely the B show, Hogan wasn’t there. They let me wrestle on the card. I did get a manager my dad versus Tatanka on the first one. So it was like a thousand or two thousand people in this little hockey arena in Canada. I have no idea how my dad pulled it off. We wrestled Brutus ‘the Barber’ Beefcake and Bushwhacker Luke. He told me that he remembers that match at WrestleCade. I’m not sure if I believe him. The most memorable thing from the match, I think, was that my dad hates Brutus ‘the Barber’ Beefcake. I think he was like mean to him or something when he was a fan or something, some digression hat my dad has blown out of proportion. So he concocted this plan that when Beefcake threw up the big boot, he was gonna run into the big boot with his face as hard as he could and knock him over—and he did.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Colby Corino talked about his debut match for the NWA and how George South changed the match in the ring. Check out his full comments here.
