Colt Cabana has won the gold.
On the latest episode of Being The Dark Order, Trent Beretta defended the BTE Championship against Colt Cabana. Beretta noted that he was having trouble finding a challenger, and Cabana accepted, under the condition that he could choose the game. Cabana chose Three-Card Monty, so Beretta had to tell him where the black queen card was after he moved it around with other cards. Cabana said it was a totally legitimate game.
Beretta guessed the wrong card, so Cabana won the title. Cabana posed with the gold, and Trent noted that he knew it was a scheme. Cabana again claimed that his win was legitimate. Beretta congratulated Cabana, who then stated that he had won his first title in AEW. Cabana also said that he was skilled and good at games.
Cabana has been featured on Being The Dark Order, and he continues to work for AEW/ROH as a producer and a wrestler as well.
The BTE Championship was previously introduced on Being The Elite in 2020. After it was not defended for over a year, it returned in September 2023.
