The most recent episode of the documentary leading up to Ric Flair's final match showed a confrontation that took place outside of the press conference for Ric Flair's last match which would see Jay Lethal jump Ric Flair in a parking lot and Jeff Jarrett, who tried to help Ric Flair, eventually turned on him when Ric Flair declined to accept any help. Ric Flair ended up bloodied at the hands of Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett, and now, he's calling in his son-in-law for a tag team match at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium.

Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal have a history dating back to their time together in TNA wrestling and that is where Ric Flair also met Jay Lethal. Lethal defeated Ric Flair in a singles match during their time together in TNA wrestling and Ric Flair also trained with Jay Lethal for this return bout.

Prior to the announcement of this match, the event was moved from the Nashville Fairgrounds to the Nashville Municipal Auditorium, an arena that holds triple the capacity of the previously announced venue.

Currently, Andrade and Jay Lethal are members of the AEW roster.

Jeff Jarrett, a legend of the Nashville area himself, was recently hired back by WWE and is the Senior Vice President of Live Events, an opportunity he is very excited about. Jeff Jarrett will be in the ring at SummerSlam the night before but he will not be wrestling, he will be a referee for the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championship match.

Ric Flair's Last Match will be the centerpiece event of Starrcast V an event taking place in Nashville, Tennessee during SummerSlam weekend. In addition to the events featuring Ric Flair, there will also be stage shows featuring Bret Hart, Mick Foley, Paige, Kevin Nash, Bryan Danielson, and more. Fans can order the full package of events now on FITE.

You can see the full card for the event which will take place on July 31 at this link.
