Conrad Thompson is in WrestleQuest.
WrestleQuest, a wrestling RPG game, has been in development for four years, and it was scheduled to be released in May 2023. Publisher Skybound Games and developer Mega Cat Studios have delayed the release to the summer, but a new name has been announced for the game.
Speaking on My World with Jeff Jarrett, Thompson stated that he is in WrestleQuest.
"WrestleQuest is gonna be out in August. It’s finally been announced. We’ve been talking about and teasing this video game for about a year and a half now. My understanding is that it’s about to come out, and I can’t believe this is real, but they posted screenshots since we recorded, I’m in the game? What in the world?" Thompson said.
Jarrett, who was brought on as a partner for the wrestling side, responded by stating that the numbers for the game are through the roof. As for Thompson, he noted that Conrad is a part of storytelling in the world of professional wrestling world, given his number of popular podcasts.
"Conrad, The Podfather. For real. I don’t have all the correct terms in the gaming world, but overindexing and all the data that comes back and the wish list and everything that goes with it. Look, I was brought on as a partner on the wrestling side, not on the video game side. But the numbers are through the roof. The storytelling, whether you’d like to admit, whether you’d like to see yourself as that, if you’re watching the video version, Conrad’s pixelated mug is on the screen right now, but no, whether you like to admit it or not, as far as storytelling, over the last, I guess at least five years, I know you’ve been podcasting almost up to seven, right, ten years, but you’re part of storytelling in professional wrestling, whether you believe it or not. As a part of the Japanese role-playing game, The Podfather is in it. It’s gonna be fun," Jarrett said.
WrestleQuest will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam. Fightful will provide more information about WrestleQuest as it becomes available. The trailer can be found here.
