Cope Jokes That A TLC Match With FTR And Young Bucks Would Have Him Retiring The Next Day
When Cope & Christian Cage returned at AEW Revolution following FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) retaining their AEW Tag Team Titles against the Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson), fans couldn’t help but think about the past and the future.
Many speculated what a TLC match between the three teams would look like given the history between the Bucks and FTR, and Cope & Christian’s history in Tables, Ladders, and Chairs.
Speaking to Renee Paquette on Close Up, Renee asked if a TLC match could be something fans might be able to see and enjoy.
“Yeah, if you want me to retire the next day,” Cope said with a laugh. “It’s tough to look at the three teams and not draw some similarities to past rivalries. It’s kind of a no-brainer to go there almost immediately. I don’t know. It’d be interesting.”
Christian quipped, “We’d win, for sure.”
Cope & Christian will challenge FTR for the AEW Tag Team Titles at AEW Dynasty.
