Corey Graves: Allegedly, Brock Lesnar Kept The Bar Open For Everyone During Canceled 2015 WWE Raw

Despite less than ideal weather conditions last Monday, WWE Raw went off without a hitch in Salt Lake City, Utah. Unlike in 2015, when WWE had to cancel the live arena portion of the Raw following the Royal Rumble due to a snowstorm in Hartford, CT.

Speaking on WWE After The Bell, Corey Graves recalled the night WWE had to cancel Raw, which happened to be the same night he first met Brock Lesnar.

"That night stands out to me because it was the first night I encountered Brock Lesnar in person," recalled Graves. "I found myself in a conference room sitting beside him and there was an awkward silence because neither of us knew each other or what to make of one another other than I was as terrified of him in person as I had been for years on television. So, I did what any reasonable human would do in that situation. I complimented him on his jacket, which led to a surprisingly fun little exchange and conversation with Brock Lesnar, who did not decide to tear me limb for limb. Allegedly, the now WWE Champion paid a significant amount of money to keep the bar wide open for everybody to make sure they made the best of a crappy situation."

WWE ended up airing full matches from the 2015 Royal Rumble event along with a sitdown interview with Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar on the January 26, 2015 episode of Raw.

Fightful will have live coverage of tonight's WWE Raw beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
