Corey Graves Doesn’t Foresee Himself Wrestling In The Foreseeable Future, But Open To The Right Opportunity

Corey Graves has not wrestled since 2014, announcing his retirement on December 11, 2014 during the NXT TakeOver: R Evolution pre-show. Graves had not wrestled since April 3, 2014 when he suffered a concussion during a six-man tag team bout.
Over the years, Graves has gotten himself cleared for a potential return, and notably took two F5s from Brock Lesnar on the September 19, 2025 episode of WWE SmackDown.
Speaking to Scott Fishman of TV Insider, Graves was asked about potentially wrestling again.
“I got medically cleared a couple of years ago. I started to get back in shape. A lot of things changed within the company as far as everything. So, I don’t foresee that happening in the foreseeable future if at all. One major reason being is I don’t feel like staying in ring shape because it’s a lot of work. I have the luxury of wearing a suit on TV. I like not watching what I eat. Never say never. I think if the right opportunity presented itself, whether that be in WWE or AAA, I would probably jump at the chance. At the same time, it’s not something I’m actively pursuing at the moment,” he said.
Graves is on the commentary team for WWE Raw alongside Michael Cole.
Elsewhere during the interview, Graves commented on being replaced on commentary by Pat McAfee last year. You can find his full comments here.
