Corey Graves Provides Update On Carmella’s Future In Wrestling: “I Don’t Think We’ve Heard The Last Of Her In This Realm”
An update on the former WWE champion.
In 2025, Leah Van Dale a.k.a. Carmella opened up about being informed that her contract with WWE was not being renewed. She last wrestled for the company in early 2023, as she had been away from the ring after giving birth to her and WWE commentator Corey Graves’ first child.
Graves was asked about Van Dale during a chat with Bill Apter, and said he doesn’t think the public has seen the last of her in the pro wrestling space.
“She’s fantastic, she’s fabulous. She’s taking motherhood very seriously, she’s killing it. I don’t think we’ve heard the last of her in this realm… We got some time. She’s got her hands full now though. We’re raising the new Road Warriors basically,” Graves laughed. “That’s the plan.”
In October 2025, Van Dale and Graves welcomed their second child into the world.
Van Dale spent 12 years with WWE. Her list of accolades is as follows:
- WWE 24/7 Champion (four times)
- SmackDown Women’s Champion
- WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion
- Mixed Match Challenge winner (season two with R-Truth)
- Women’s Money in the Bank winner (2017, first-ever)
- WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal (2019)
