Court Bauer Says MLW Could Do A Live Draft When Live Events Continue

Although he has no idea when live events return for MLW, CEO Court Bauer has some ideas on what the company could do when it returns.

In an interview with MLW.com, Bauer talked about the current status of things regarding the company in the wake of COVID-19. Bauer doesn't give a date on when live events could resume, but did say the company might do a live broadcast or even a draft depending on the timing of things. However, it should be noted that nothing is set in stone.

"A live broadcast is a possibility. We may also do a live draft to shake things up. Depends on the timing. Depends on the opportunity," Bauer said.

Bauer was also asked when the next pay-per-view will take place. Bauer noted that he's holding off on pay-per-view events at the moment as he is currently in the middle of securing future broadcast rights for MLW. He added that nothing is really off the table regarding those types of events, whether it would be sticking with the pay-per-view model or even having them on a streaming platform or network special.

"SuperFight was a home run for us both in the ring and hit the mark on our projections for buys.  However, we have held back doing another as we are in talks to shop our rights and that means everything including big tentpole events like a SuperFight. Future Pay-Per-Views could end up on a streaming platform, as network specials or remain on Pay-Per-View. So, it?s up in the air until we close the deal, but more are on the way," Bauer said.
