D-Von Dudley: I Hated My Pyro, It Scared Me To Death

D-Von Dudley, a former WWE Producer, recently reacted to WWE Unreal Season Two on his YouTube channel.

The now retired professional wrestler touched on one scene in particular where everyone in Gorilla was covering their ears before the pre-show pyro went off. That clip sent D-Von into a frenzy as he had to reminiscence on his days where The Dudley’s got special pyro.

“It scared the hell out of me. I hated my own pyro. I hated it,” D-Von Dudley said. “Absolutely hated it. Couldn’t stand it. I liked the visual effect that it gave. I like how when people heard it, the energy that came off with it, but I absolutely hated it.”

“I hated that pyro, it scared me to death. Bubba’s sitting up there like a rock star while I was sitting there like this, I hated that pyro. Like bombs were being dropped, everywhere,” he added.

While pyro is sort of a lost art in pro wrestling, D-Von is someone who will forever have one of the most iconic entrances in recent memory.
