D-Von Dudley On Taking A Batista Bomb: Sometimes, Dave Bautista Didn't Know His Own Strength

D-Von Dudley reflects on the pain of taking Dave Bautista's signature wrestling move, the Batista Bomb.

D-Von Dudley played an essential role in several of Batista's early moments on the WWE roster. Batista was introduced to WWE TV as the Deacon for "Reverend" D-Von. Batista and Randy Orton were also in the ring with Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley when they suffered serious injuries in the same match in early 2003. Batista also won his first championship, the WWE World Tag Team Championship, alongside Ric Flair by defeating the Dudley Boyz at WWE Armageddon 2003. This shows that Dudley was very familiar with taking a Batista Bomb.

For his latest YouTube video, D-Von Dudley recently ranked famous wrestling finishing moves based on how much pain he experienced when taking each move. When discussing the Batista Bomb, Dudley would say that it was a painful experience because sometimes, Dave didn't know his strength. He jokingly said that it would all be okay, though, as long as Batista got him a role in one of his upcoming movies.

"Now I've taken that before many times with Dave, not to mention when he was Deacon Batista, right before we separated. Dave was a very big and powerful man at that time. With that being said, he didn't know his own strength at times. So when he would pick you up and jack you into that mat, that would hurt like crazy. So I'm going to have to put that in the S-tier, because it did really hurt. Dave, remember, I owe you one, but we can settle this if you give me a movie part in your movie."

That might not help D-Von, as Batista says he tries to sneak the move into every film he does. Read more here.
