D-Von Dudley says that he was shocked that he and Bully Ray’s retirement match at Bound For Glory ‘was even announced’.

At TNA Bound For Glory, D-Von Dudley and Bully Ray would compete in their retirement match taking on The Hardy Boyz in a ladder match that they would eventually lose to their arch rivals.

While speaking to Denise Salcedo in a new interview, D-Von was asked about his retirement match at TNA Bound For Glory, noting that he was shocked that the match was even announced.

“I gotta tell you, I was shocked when they even announced that the match was happening, and then when the boots were left, I mean, it was a lot of emotion. The 1,000th episode of TNA, I was happy, but I wasn’t happy. It didn’t really- it wasn’t a proper send-off. So when Bubba came back to me and told me about three years later, ‘I have an idea to do the Hardys and the Dudleys one last time time,’ I jumped on it.”

Elsewhere in another interview, D-Von shared how long he had been training for the match at TNA Bound For Glory. You can read more about that here.
