Damian Priest Believes Santos Escobar Would Fit In Well As A Member Of Judgment Day

Damian Priest talks about the possibility of NXT stars joining the Judgment Day.

The original idea behind the Judgment Day saw Edge taking on Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley as his cohorts in a faction that would allow them to grow under his leadership. Eventually, Finn Balor was brought into the group and Edge was excommunicated. Now, Balor, Priest, and Ripley are on their own but that doesn't mean they are not interested in bringing in potential new members to the group from the NXT brand, a brand that gave all of them their start in WWE.

Speaking with Cultaholic, Damian Priest stated that he believes that Santos Escobar would fit in well with the group.

“Yeah, definitely. Look, you've got Santos Escobar over there that I'm a big fan of, and I think he would fit right in with Judgment Day. But yeah, there are definitely talents out there that are more than capable and fit the vibe of Judgement Day. So, yeah. Our doors are open. You know, it's just it's one of those situations that it has to make sense. We all have to agree on it the right person, right time, right place. So there's always a chance,” Priest said.

Priest also commented on Triple H being a fan of the group, saying that while that may help, the pressure is still on them to deliver.

“It's one of those things that he could be a fan and everything, but we got to do our part. We have to deliver and I think right now we're firing on all cylinders. I think things are going really well. We're at the top of our game, and, you know, we're getting opportunities, but we're smashing them. Obviously, it helps to work with guys like Rey and Edge. So, yeah, things are good. But again, it has to go with us doing our part. Triple H, obviously, is a hell of a leader, a crazy vision. He's so good at this business. But we have to do our part and so far, so good.”

The Judgment Day once again lost to Edge and Rey Mysterio at WWE Clash at the castle, and the group has largely failed to score a major victory since they were underneath the leadership of Edge at WWE Hell in a Cell.

As for Santos Escobar, he was recently damaged from WWE NXT after losing a match to Tony D’Angelo at NXT Heatwave, but he returned the following week in order to make sure he takes the rest of Legado del Fantasma with him wherever he goes. Learn more here.
