Damian Priest: Judgment Day Needs AJ Styles To Stop Fighting Against Us And Fight Alongside Us

Damian Priest wants AJ Styles to join him, Edge, and Rhea Ripley on top of the “mountain of omnipotence.”

Since WrestleMania 38, Damian Priest has been a loyal follower of Edge, forming a group that would eventually be known as The Judgment Day. AJ has been the main target of the group and when Damian was barred from ringside at WWE WrestleMania Backlash, Rhea Ripley lent Edge helping hand and also pledged her allegiance to the group.

As great as Damian and Ripley are, Edge still says the group is looking for more members. On social media, Edge has been regularly teasing the addition of new members ranging from the likes of Paige and Tommaso Ciampa to Corey Graves and Ava Raine, the new name for Simone Johnson, daughter of The Rock. You can read Ciampa's thoughts on Edge teasing him as a potential Judgment Day member here.

One name that Damian Priest believes should join the group is actually the one man they've been fighting the longest, AJ Styles. Speaking with Cageside Seats’ Rick Ucchino on the Bleav in Pro Wrestling podcast, Priest says he believes the group needs AJ Styles fighting alongside them.

“AJ Styles. We need him to come over to the other side. I mean stop fighting against and fight with, fight alongside," said Priest. "When I first signed a contract to come to WWE, he was on top of that list of people I wanted to work with and I knew he would elevate me and it’s kind of like, you have to prove yourself and your worth of being in a match with that guy. That’s a sink or swim situation. If you can’t go with him and if you don’t have a good showing, you don’t belong here. So for me, like that’s the guy. I would love for him to be the next member of The Judgment Day.”

Recently, Damian Priest told Jimmy Smith that Edge told him personally that he was his first choice for the group. Learn more here.

As much as Damian Priest wants AJ Styles to join the group, they will still be on opposite sides this Sunday as Edge, Priest, and Ripley will battle AJ Styles, Finn Balor, and Liv Morgan at WWE Hell in a Cell in a mixed trios match. Priest recently teased the group having new gear for the match.
