Madison Square Garden has announced a World Heavyweight Championship match will take place on the night of June 28, 2024.

On June 28, WWE SmackDown will be heading to Madison Square Garden but as a special treat, a top match from Monday Night Raw will be held as a dark match for the fans in the arena.

Madison Square Garden announced that Damian Priest will go against Jey Uso on June 28. As of now, the match is scheduled to be for the WWE World Heavyweight Title. Priest is scheduled to defend the title against Drew McIntyre at WWE Clash at the Castle on June 15.

It is unknown how the match will change if Drew McIntyre wins the championship and whether or not he will then step in to defend the championship against Jey Uso or if Priest versus Uso will take place that evening regardless.

As always in professional wrestling, the card is subject to change.

Priest defeated Uso back at WWE Backlash in France and should he make it to SummerSlam as champion, he will have to defend the championship against the 2024 King of the Ring Gunther.

Fightful will continue to provide updates on the situation as any changes occur.
