Dana White Says He's Not Waiting Around For Brock Lesnar, Talks Vince McMahon Throwing Money At Brock

Dana White addresses Brock Lesnar's future in the UFC.

It was at UFC 226 that the current WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar made his on-screen return to the UFC and he stepped inside the octagon to confront the then-newly crowned UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier. Following that interaction the wrestling and MMA worlds were buzzing because of the potential Cormier versus Lesnar bout in the future. Once Brock Lesnar dropped the WWE Universal Title to Roman Reigns at SummerSlam in August, most thought that was the end of "The Beast" in WWE for the foreseeable future but just one month later at the 'Hell In A Cell' pay-per-view, Brock returned to WWE again and has been with the company since.

Six-Man Tag, Mixed Tag, X-Division Title Bout, More Announced For TNA Under Siege

UFC 232 was last night which saw Jon Jones defeat Alexander Gustaffson to become UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, and Amanda Nunes K.O. Cris Cyborg to obtain the UFC Women's Featherweight Championship. At the post-event press conference, UFC President Dana White answered questions for nearly 30 minutes and one of the questions presented to him had to do with the future of Brock Lesnar in the octagon and White stated that he is not waiting on anyone and shared that he feels WWE Chairman Vince McMahon throws so much money Brock's way it's hard for him to leave WWE.

“No he’s not out of the picture.” Dana was then asked if there’s a chance he could still sign Brock, “Absolutely. I think he’s already under contract with me. Yeah, so we were talking about it and then he ended up signing a new deal with WWE. What I think happened is, he’s in a very unique position because he can play this thing between UFC and WWE and to get right down to the wire and I think Vince throws so much money at him that he says, ‘Alright, I’ll do it again’, because this is here no matter what. When he’s ready, he can come in here and fight and he’s gonna make a sh*t load of money here too. So it makes sense. I’m assuming that’s what going on." Dana said. "One of the things that you guys [the media] know about me, is, I don’t wait for anybody. I’m not f*cking waiting around for anybody so, I’m rolling with the business. Guy doesn’t wanna fight this year? It’s all good. It doesn’t matter who are you are, how big you are, what your deal is. You don’t wanna fight? Do your thing. When you’re ready to fight, you come back and talk to me and we’ll figure something out."
