Danhausen Says His Recovery Is Going Good, Will Hopefully Return To The Ring 'Soon'

Danhausen signed with AEW following his appearance at AEW Beach Break where he cursed Adam Cole in his Lights Out match against Orange Cassidy.

Danhausen hasn't wrestled since October 2021 after suffering a leg injury at an independent event. He has been appearing alongside the Best Friends on AEW TV.

Karrion Kross: There's Something Much Bigger Going On Here Than What's Happening In The Ring

Speaking on AEW Unrestricted, Danhausen provided an update on his leg injury.

"Recovery is going good. We have wonderful doctors at AEW that help Danhausen every single week. His name is Josh, nice, he has a mustache. Hopefully, one day, when Danhausen recovers he can have a mustache of his own. Danhausen needs a metal rod in his leg, he broken his tibia and fibula. This fellow crashed down on Danhausen's leg, it snapped in two, he heard a 'pop, pop,' and he went, 'Oh good, this is wonderful,' and he rolled to the side of the ring, and I believe this is the only time Danhausen has sworn publicly. He went to the hospital, that was nice, had surgery a week later and now every single week we're trying to recover it, I think we're getting pretty close. Fingers crossed," he said.

Asked when he expects to return to the ring, Danhausen said, "Who knows. Should we surprise people? People tweet at Danhausen, 'When are you wrestling?' As though he's going to spoil it. Maybe soon? Hopefully soon. We shall wait for mustache Josh to say so. Soon. Sooner than later."

When he does return to the ring, Danhausen will debut some new gear and already has plans on how he'll win his first match.

"Danhausen has a new cape, he has a new entrance theme, a new entrance board. Hopefully, they'll debut soon. That will be very evil once Danhausen gets in the ring. Bell rings; one, two, three, punch somebody in the groin. Don't look. Then Danhausen pins them; one, two, three, done," he said.

Danhausen said he will punch his opponent in the groin before the bell, so he wouldn't be DQ'd, and then pin them. Aubrey Edwards conceded that this was not against the rules.

Very nice, very evil plan from Danhausen.
