Daniel Bryan Is A Big Aiden English Fan

Daniel Bryan says he is a fan of  Aiden English's character.

On Edge and Christian's podcast E & C's Pod of Awesomeness, Daniel Bryan discussed how he won fans over with his in-ring athletics. He then stated that in the current climate of WWE, wrestlers need to do more to stand out among the rest of the roster.

"Now, I think it's going to be interesting to see what people come up with to stand out in WWE. Because it's so hard to stand out with just your wrestling. You can't stand out with just your wrestling anymore," said Bryan.

As General Manager of Smackdown, Bryan pointed out a wrestler on Smackdown's roster who is standing out. He said Aiden English has been successful with his character

"One of the people that really stands out to me as far as character and presentation is Aiden English on Smackdown. He goes out there and he sings." Bryan said that's a great throwback way to get heel heat, something that you might have seen in the 80s.  "The Bolsheviks would go out there and sing the Russian national anthem and everyone would hate it. Aiden English goes out there, he's singing, everyone hates it, everyone hates him," said Bryan.

English came to WWE from NXT as part of the tag-team The Vaudevillians. Since parting ways with his tag-team partner Simon Gotch, English has won a few matches on WWE television against the likes of both Sami Zayn and Tye Dillinger.  On Tuesday, he was defeated by the debuting Bobby Roode.
