Daniel Bryan's WWE Contract Expiration Revealed

Daniel Bryan has less than six months on his contract.

When Daniel Bryan was forced to vacate his WWE Intercontinental Championship and step away from wrestling, he stated on multiple occasions he would be wrestling after his WWE contract expired even if it was with another promotion. He became Smackdown General Manager as an effort for his contract to continue because if he was not performing on television his contract would have been frozen.

Before he was finally medically cleared by WWE, Daniel Bryan did an interview with Al Arabiya where he revealed his contract expires on September 1st. The interviewer asked him about the rumored date of September 23rd and Bryan corrected him.

"No, no. I had somebody say that to me on my Twitter. They said, does your contract expire on September 23rd? And I was like, how do people even know that. But no, my contract actually runs out September 1st, which is actually the day of the All In show, but it’s funny because that doesn't compute. I was in the Bahrain Comic Con the last two days, and we did Q&As, and at each one, somebody asked me about that. They said, ‘are you going to be at All In’? I’m not. I don’t know what to tell you. But yeah, my contract is up September 1st," said Bryan.

As Bryan stated, All In is scheduled for September 1st which is an event being promoted by Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks. It will take place in Chicago, Illinois

Also in the interview, Bryan discussed The Greatest Royal Rumble, John Cena, Connor The Crusher and other topics.

The full interview can be seen in the video above or at English.AlArabiya.net.
