Daniel Bryan has set his own date for when he knows where his future with WWE lies.
He spoke to Sports Illustrated on his ongoing situation with WWE over letting him return to the ring. His doctors have cleared him, but WWE's have not, and have refused to clear him.
"I assume that if I don’t wrestle by WrestleMania, I probably won’t be wrestling with WWE at all,” said Bryan. “That’s my assumption."
But he realizes that, at the same time, getting cleared to return to the ring isn't the smoothest process as one would imagine. It's complicated, and he understands that.
“It’s not a black and white answer,” he replied. “There are a lot of issues with me getting cleared by WWE. They have a very strict protocol, which is a good thing, but the timeline of all that happening was not the best for me. It’s an interesting situation that will develop.”
Bryan has hinted in the past that he's willing to leave WWE to wrestle if WWE won't clear him.
