Daniel Bryan Suffering From Depression, According To Wife

It's no surprise, but Daniel Bryan isn't happy about his forced retirement from the ring.

Daniel Bryan has been battling depression, but it didn't necessarily start with the aforementioned retirement, according to his wife, Brie Bella. The former WWE Divas Champion told E! that he's been dealing with the issues for a decade.

"What a lot of people don't know about my husband is he's been battling depression since he was 25. And really our whole relationship I've been used to his depression, but definitely in the last two years I know, OK it comes, it hits hard, but it only lasts for two days. I've always told him, 'Go to therapy or see someone.' And I've always left it for him to decide who he wants to tell, how he wants to tell people,"said Bella.

Bella also said in the clip that Bryan suffers from anxiety, something E! brought up in an article elaborating on his battle.

Bryan currently appears as general manager on the Smackdown brand, which broadcasts on Tuesday nights. He also appears on Total Bellas, Wednesdays on E!
