Daniel Cormier Wants To Have A Match With Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman Says He'd Be Enhancement Talent

Daniel Cormier wants a piece of The Tribal Chief.

On March 31, the WWE Universal Champion spoke with Ariel Helwani on his MMA show and was asked about his WrestleMania match being made a Triple Threat. Reigns said that he prefers singles competition, and would "smash" anybody in that setting, including former-UFC Heavyweight Champion, Daniel Cormier. Here is what he said:

TNA Wrestling Confirms Signing Of Mike Santana

"I like one-on-one, I'll smash anybody. Daniel Bryan, Edge, [Daniel Cormier] I'll smash them all. Get [Cormier] from behind the table and back in the gym, maybe he'll have a chance. It'd be a short story."

Cormier, who now works as a play-by-play commentator for the UFC, replied to Reigns' remarks on Twitter.

Paul Heyman came to the defence of his boss, saying that the once two-division world champion would be an enhancement talent in WWE.

Roman Reigns also chimed in, saying "That announce table got him acting soft."

Cormier came back once more, saying that he wants to make this fight happen, even tagging Vince McMahon and Triple H (once again using a wrong Twitter handle).

Reigns is scheduled to defend his Universal Championship versus Edge and Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 37. Fightful will have live coverage of WWE's annual spectacular on both Saturday, April 10 and Sunday, April 11, 2021.

Elsewhere during the interview, Reigns discussed the extra layers his character will have to peel once lie crowds return. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
