Daniel Garcia: AEW Is Grateful For WWE Succeeding, WWE Talent Is Grateful For AEW Succeeding

Daniel Garcia says both WWE and AEW talent are grateful for the other promotions success.

Since All Elite Wrestling debuted in 2019, there has been a divide amongst many wrestling fans between WWE and AEW. This has led to a large portion of fans resorting to tribalism about which wrestling promotion is better. However, several talent from both promotions have made it clear that the talent themselves do not enjoy the tribalism in wrestling.

In a recent interview with Adrian Hernandez, Daniel Garcia spoke about tribalism in professional wrestling, noting that both AEW and WWE talent are grateful for the existence of the other promotion.

"Because tribalism is a big thing, just because the fans are so AEW or WWE, they think the talent is like that as well. They think we hate each other and we don’t interact with each other. When it comes down to it, having both companies is great for all of us. It gets us all more money, it makes the product better. The competition is great. We’re very grateful for WWE succeeding and I’m sure people at WWE, the talent, is very grateful for AEW being successful. All talent, for the most part, I think everyone gets along and interacts with each other. Whenever we see each other at a big...like WaleMania during WrestleMania week, it’s always love, never drama."

On the January 20th edition of AEW Collision, Garcia is scheduled to go one on one with Buddy Matthews. You can check out the rest of the card for the show here.

Elsewhere in the same interview, Garcia talked about earning another contract with his current one expiring this year. You can read more about that here.
