Garcia won the title by beating Bandido back at the promotion's 'Delivering The Goods' show back on May 1, 2022. Before the title change, Bandido was the PWG World Champion for 863 days.

Since winning the belt, Garcia has defended against the likes of Jonathan Gresham and Konosuke Takeshita at various PWG events.

Throughout his lengthy career with the company, Kevin Steen held the PWG World Championship on three separate occasions. In total, Steen's reigns with the title spanned over 469 days.

Alongside the Jericho Appreciation Society, Daniel Garcia is currently in a feud with Adam Cole and Roderick Strong in All Elite Wrestling. Garcia last wrestled for AEW on the March 29 episode of Dynamite, where he lost a singles match to Adam Cole.

Garcia is set to be in action on the May 3 episode of AEW Dynamite in an eight man tag team bout. Fans can see the full lineup for Wednesday's show by clicking here.
