Darby Allin: AEW Was A Thing That Was Created By Us, We Have To Be The Ones To Keep It Going

Darby Allin touts AEW’s momentum.
AEW Dynasty is shaping up to be another major success for the company, as the show currently has over 8,000 tickets distributed and a card that features big stars like Kenny Omega, Jon Moxley, MJF, and Will Ospreay.
Speaking with Jason Hall of IHeartMedia for a new interview, Darby Allin issued a bit of a rally cry by saying that wrestlers have to be the one to keep AEW going because they don’t have decades of existence to rely on.
“It’s just good to be a part of it, man. It’s a thing that was created by us and we have to be the ones to keep it going. We don’t have all these years and decades of stock where it’s in people’s [nostalgia]. This is so new still and it’s up to us to create this monster. The fact that we’re able to do something with Wembley, 81,000 plus people, this was all of us on the ground level building this thing. The fact that these pay-per-views are going hotter and hotter, I love it.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Allin explained why he’s not in the space to be a mentor right now. Check out his full statement on the matter by clicking here.
