Wayne was offered the contract by Darby Allin back in February 2021. Although the son of Buddy Wayne has yet to make his debut in the company due to his age, many fans are eagerly awaiting Nick Wayne's arrival in AEW.

In a new interview with Kiro 7 News, Allin talked about sharing the moment with Wayne and how the two grew up together when they were younger.

“To have that moment with him and to be there from the start. I would take him to skate parks when we were younger and all those things. It’s crazy. It’s cool to see the journey, especially for him. I remember when his dad passed away, it was two days later and he was training in the ring and posting videos of himself training and I always thought that was the craziest thing. This kid lives for this.”

While waiting to make his AEW debut, Wayne has continued to appear in independent promotions like Game Changer Wrestling, DEFY Wrestling, and West Coast Pro Wrestling.

On the other hand, Allin is set to challenge Samoa Joe for the TNT Championship on the January 4 episode of Dynamite. To see the show's updated lineup, click here.
