The Dark Order may not have been successful in recruiting Best Friends, but they got the next best thing.
On the most recent episode of Being The Elite, The Dark Order's Jon Sterling and Alex Reynolds tried to recruit both Trent and Chuck Taylor after the duo lost to Kenny Omega and Hangman Page in an AEW World Tag Team Championship at Fyter Fest. Both Trent and Taylor quickly reject the recruitment pitch, but then The Dark Order introduce their newest recruit: Trent's mom.
A shocked Trent would exclaim to her mom that she can't join a cult, to which she said that she absolutely can do that. After Trent took away a cup of "Kool-aid" from his mom's hands, the two of them and Taylor left the room. For those that may remember, Trent's mom was the one who drove Trent and Taylor to Fyter Fest for their match against Omega and Page.
After Best Friends and Trent's mom left, The Dark Order resumed their quest to recruit Orange Cassidy, to which Cassidy also rejects once again. It's been a rough time for The Dark Order when it comes to recruiting certain AEW stars as it was recently revealed that Page tried to enlist into the group months ago, but never heard back from them and moved on.
