Dark Side Of The Ring Viewership Increases For Season Finale On WWE Steroid Trial

The season finale of Dark Side of the Ring scored strong numbers.

Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics reports that Dark Side of the Ring on October 28 drew 154,000 viewers for the season finale. This number is up from last Thursday's episode, which drew 109,000 viewers.

Thursday's episode focused on the 1994 United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York criminal court case brought against Vince McMahon, chairman of the World Wrestling Federation on suspicion of supplying illegal anabolic steroids to his professional wrestlers.

The show posted a 0.05 rating (80,000 viewers) in the 18 to 49 demographic, which is the same as last Thursday's demographic number.

Last Thursday's episode was entitled "Extreme & Obscene: Rob Black's XPW" and focused on Rob Black and Xtreme Pro Wrestling, which ran from 1999 to 2003 and was famous for its hardcore wrestling and being a rival to ECW before it went under. The promotion also utilized Black's connections to the Los Angeles porn industry.

Dark Side of the Ring aired Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on VICE TV.
