Darren Young Reportedly Cleared To Return To The Ring

Darren Young is ready to get back in the ring. Whether he'll be bring his Life Coach Bob Backlund is uncertain.

According to a report from Pro Wrestling Sheet, the former Tag Team Champ has been cleared to return from the elbow injury he sustained in mid-January during a match against Epico of the Shining Stars on an episode of Main Event.

Here is video of the incident. (It's pretty tough to watch.)

Young was diagnosed with a hyperextension which resulted in a traumatic dislocation & fracture of the coronoid process of the right elbow.

Now, six months after surgery, he's been cleared to return to the ring.

(Incidentally, you can watch him defeat current WWE Champ Jinder Mahal in the video at the top of the page, in case you want to know how far we've come since last Labor Day.)

PWS's source says Young will still be on the RAW brand, which perhaps coincidentally, his old tag team partner (and sometimes rival) Titus O'Neil has started a new faction.

Will Darren Young sign with Titus Worldwide? Will he bring along Bob Backlund? We'll have to wait to find out, but apparently not for long.
