Davey Boy Smith Jr. Says He's Not Full-Time With MLW, Will Go Where The Money Is

Davey Boy Smith Jr is set to return to MLW at MLW Fightland when he teams with the Billington Bulldogs (Mark Billington & Thomas Billington).

Smith Jr. is a well-traveled veteran who previously wrestled for MLW in 2020, has had multiple stints in WWE, and has competed for NJPW.

Speaking on the Total BeezSheez Show, Smith Jr was asked about his future in wrestling and if he had any interest in returning to WWE or potentially joining AEW.

"I would like to still go back internationally, go back over to Japan. I wasn't quite sure, because I haven't been going overseas for so long because I was with WWE and there was COVID before that, it almost seems foreign to go over there. It would really depend on who is going to pay the most money. That's basically where I'm at. Money isn't everything, but it's certainly one of the most important things. It would be the money. IMPACT Wrestling is good, I'm back in touch with MLW and doing stuff with them for now and I'll see where that goes. Maybe that'll lead me to doing stuff there full-time. I'm not sure, just trying to get a lay of the land if the best option is North America or overseas. Thankfully, the restrictions on traveling are a lot more lenient," he said.

Davey Boy Smith Jr. signed with WWE in July 2021, but only wrestled in a dark match and was released in November.

He hasn't competed for NJPW since 2019.
