Davey Richards Says Bigger Companies Reached Out Upon His Return, Gives Length Of MLW Deal

Davey Richards walked away from wrestling in July 2017 due to a knee injury and to focus on his studies, but made his return earlier this year.

Richards has been active on the independent scene since returning and signed with MLW, competing at MLW Battle Riot.

Speaking on Sunday Night's Main Event, Richards discussed his return and how he's feeling.

"I was very humbled; when I announced I was coming back, I had a few of the bigger companies reach out and they were all kind, considerate, and respectful, but MLW just felt so right with how Court thinks of wrestling and how I do. I've only done one show so far, which was Battle Riot in Philly, but if that's the sign of things to come, this is going to be a blast. I had such a good time. The talent there is unbelievable and I wish I was there every other week. I can't wait for the next one," he said. "I have signed with [MLW] for a calendar year and then we'll talk about things towards the end of that. I can see myself being there for a while, I really enjoy it."

Richards has competed for Glory Pro, PWX, Warrior Wrestling and more since becoming an active competitor again.

He is set to reunite with Eddie Edwards at Wrestling Revolver on October 30.
