David Benoit Says He's 'Working On' Getting His Father Inducted Into The WWE Hall Of Fame

David Benoit gets goosebumps thinking about getting to induct his dad into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Since his tragic death in 2007, WWE has blacklisted Chris Benoit. In spite of this, his name is always one that is mentioned by fans when it comes to WWE Hall of Fame inductees. Benoit's eldest son, David would like to see the ban be lifted and his father inducted into the Hall of Fame for his positive contributions inside the squared circle.

Speaking to Chris Van Vliet, David proclaimed that "he's working on" a Hall of Fame induction for his father, calling his dad one of the best in the world to ever lace up a pair of boots.

Chris' wife, Nancy, had a successful career as Woman in WCW and ECW. Nancy's life was also taken over the course of that tragic weekend in June. When asked whether she should go into the WWE Hall Of Fame, David was very supportive of the idea.

"She had her own career. If they want to throw in the Hall of Fame, go for it. You know, I'll be there for that She's an incredible woman. I loved her with all my heart," David said.

Continuing on, David would say that he would want to be the one to induct his father, revealing that he pictures the moment and often gets goosebumps thinking about it.

"I picture the moment. When that music hits, goosebumps, goosebumps every time,” said David. "Every time [you'd] hear that theme song, you knew you were getting a fucking 5-star match."

Also in the interview, David talks about Chris Jericho getting his 2014 debut match canceled. Learn more about that here.
