DDT Announces Kaisei Takechi Was Diagnosed With Acute Appendicitis

Two statements on the matter.

DDT Pro-Wrestling pushed out the news that Kaisei Takechi has been diagnosed with acute appendicitis. He was seeking medical attention for abdominal pain when the diagnosis was made.

As a result, Takechi will not be competing in the 2026 KING OF DDT tournament.

Another statement about the diagnosis was issued by THE RAMPAGE from EXILE TRIBE. In addition to being a wrestler, Takechi is a member of the J-pop vocal and dance group. Takechi and the group performed together for his entrance at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20 at the Tokyo Dome.

The group noted in their statement that Takechi is undergoing treatment under a doctor’s supervision. He will not be able to perform at their April 28th and 29th shows. As for future shows, they’ll provide an update when it is available.

Takechi is a former holder of the KO-D Six-Man Tag Team Titles with Yuki Ueno and To-y. He last wrestled at DDT’s April 5th event.
