DDT Announces Kazusada Higuchi Is Retiring From In-Ring Competition Due To Cervical Vertebrae Injury

DDT Pro-Wrestling held a press conference on March 23rd, and it was announced that two-time KO-D Openweight Champion Kazusada Higuchi will be retiring from in-ring competition.
He will officially be done with in-ring action following DDT’s event at Korakuen Hall on April 5th.
DDT conducted their regular health checkups for wrestlers, and it was discovered that Higuchi had a subluxation of the first and second vertebrae. A doctor stated that Higuchi continuing to participate in contact sports would be dangerous.
Higuchi, his doctor, and DDT discussed the possibility of him continuing his in-ring career, but it was determined that he should retire.
Higuchi will not have a retirement match. On April 5th, there will be a retirement ceremony for him instead.

The 37-year-old Higuchi began his in-ring career in 2014 with DDT Pro-Wrestling. He’s won multiple championships in the promotion. His final match was on January 12th, 2026.
